House and safety Rules

We're thankful you've chosen Hood Canal House. To ensure a safe and enjoyable stay, please abide by the following house rules.

• Check-in is at 4 PM.
• Use the front door to enter.
• The last four digits of your phone number is your code. The automated lock will not recognize your code until your scheduled check-in.

• Check out by 11:00 AM.  The housecleaners arrive promptly at 11:00 AM.
• Load used dishes into the dishwasher.
• Take trash and recycling out to the bins near garage side door.
• Your front door code expires precisely at the check-out time.

• No smoking, both indoors and outdoors.
• No parties.
• No pets.
• No unauthorized guests.
• Keep an eye on young children and others who may require special attention.

• Prevent slips and falls, and use bath mats and shower mats for safety.
• Do not flush any other products than toilet paper, not even ‘flushable’ items. 

• Turn room heaters off at check-out.
• Turn gas stove off when leaving the house for an extended period and at check-out.
• Do not place your belongings or other objects in front of the heaters and gas stove.

•  Adhere to safety rules posted on the hot tub. 

• Use trivets on the counter for hot pots, pans, and dishes.
• Use cutting boards; don’t chop or slice directly on the counter.
• Use exhaust fan.
• No solids down the drain in the sinks.
• There is no garbage disposal in the kitchen sink. 

• Clean the lint trap in the dryer before and after each use.
• Use the ironing board provided.
• Keep the iron out of reach of young children.

• For your safety, stay on the grass and graveled areas.
• Watch your step.
• No smoking, no burning, no campfires, no fireworks

•  Report any maintenance issues or damages immediately.
